JOHN FORGERON

John Forgeron is a co-owner and the President of Compass Energy Systems. John joined Compass in 2005 and created multiple privately financed oilfield rental companies which became Compass Compression three years later. The entrepreneurial spirit and drive for innovation shared by John and his partners helped Compass win E&Y's Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2011. Together, they have established Compass as a leading provider of compression, process, and power systems with more than 800 employees. During his time as President of Compass, John has successfully steered the company through the highs and lows of the industry as well as spearheaded many strategic moves to ensure continued growth. Successes included evolving to Compass, an integrated energy systems provider with 11 locations across North America. Starting an affiliate company, Northbase Finance, to offer flexible capital solutions for clients. In late 2020, he and his partners boldly moved to acquire a remarkable compression legacy by purchasing Exterran's flagship manufacturing operation in Houston, Texas. Today, John and the entire Compass team are working to provide clients worldwide with unique energy systems equipment for an evolving global market while living up to the promise to find the right solutions and deliver an optimal experience. John is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta and holds a mechanical engineering degree from Memorial University of Newfoundland. His career in gas compression started in 1991 and is a recognized industry expert. Before joining Compass, John held positions at Enerflex Systems and Toromont Industries.

PAUL SIMPSON

With over three and a half decades of combined experience in the development and real estate sector, Paul has contributed a wealth of creativity to facilitate the elevation, administration , and strategic utilization of capital with a steadfast commitment to integrity. As a seasoned executive at the C-Suite level, Paul boasts a proven history of adeptly managing risk and catalyzing growth. Throughout his career, he has structured more than $750 million in equity and orchestrated deals amounting to over $1.5 billion in debt. Paul commenced his journey with Anthem United and its predecessor, United Communities, a real estate development entity concentrating on residential properties in Alberta and California, back in 1992. From 1997 to 2018, he held the role of CFO, playing a pivotal part in shepherding the company through an initial public offering, subsequent privatization, and the ensuing significant expansion. In 2015, he actively participated in the company's sale and stayed on board for the subsequent four years to facilitate a smooth transition. At Othafa Capital, Paul provides clients with guidance, knowledge on deal structuring, capital raising and market dynamics. Outside of work, you may find him exploring hiking trails, whether in the Foothills of the Canadian Rockies or along the paths of the Santa Rosa and San Jacinto Mountains in Southern California, accompanied by his wife.

MIKE WALSH

Mike Walsh earned his Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta in 1984 and became a Chartered Accountant in 1987, maintaining this designation until his resignation in February 2016. His extensive career in public practice from 1984 to 2012 saw him articling with KPMG in Ft McMurray and working internationally in New Zealand and Bermuda. In 2000, Mike became a partner at Roy, Solbak, and Walsh, eventually merging with MNP LLP in 2004 During the initial 15 years of his career, Mike's work in public practice covered various areas, including Accounting, Audit & Taxation, Corporate Structure and Governance, and Strategic Planning. His expertise in finance was evident in his involvement with corporate structures and governance. As his career progressed, Mike shifted towards the Corporate Finance side, specializing in mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and real estate projects. Postretirement from partnership in May 2012, Mike transitioned into the role of CEO at Parwest Management Ltd. since 2011. Parwest Management offers project management services for residential and industrial land development projects, expanding upon Mike's prior real estate practice to include comprehensive project management.In addition to his professional achievements, Mike has made significant contributions on various boards. He served as Chairman of the Board at the Business Development Center and held positions as a Board Director and Treasurer at the MacDonald Island Park Corporation. Currently, he acts as a Board Trustee for the Keyano College Land Trust. With a career spanning decades and a diverse range of experiences, Mike brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the table, making him a trusted advisor for those navigating complex business landscapes.

NEIL TANNER

Neil Tanner was born in Walkerton, Ontario and at age 16 landed his first job with a Walkerton hotel. He went on to work for the Holiday Inn and later the Fairmont Banff Springs in the Canadian Rockies where he moved to pursue his passion for skiing. In 1981, Neil founded The Shirt Company, a retail store in Lake Louise. Over the next two decades Neil opened more than 30 retail stores across Western Canada including clothing outlets, and ski and snowboard rental shops. Neil co-founded Banff Caribou Properties in 1985 and under this flag the developed and operated several of the Bow Valley's finest restaurants, stores, and hotels such as Banff Caribou Lodge and Banff Ptarmigan Inn, as well as various commercial properties. In 2000, Neil established Tanner Properties, his commercial development operation in Canmore that features three multi- tenant developments in downtown Canmore: Main & 7th, Railway & 10th, and most recently, The Shops of Canmore. An accomplished skier and an active member of the ski community, Neil has his Level IV Canadian Ski Instructors Alliance (CSIA) designation. He is a past chairman of the CSIA and a past board member with the Canadian Ski Coaches Federation (CSCF). Neil also served as the past VP of the international board of lnterski, the international congress of ski instructors. Engaged in his home community, Neil served on the Town of Banff's Development Appeal Board (DAB) for eleven years and was chairman for ten. Neil also had the pleasure of serving six years on the Board of Directors for the Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies. Other notable expertise includes service on the advisory board for The Link-Line Group of Companies, the largest Canadian owned natural gas distribution contractor in Ontario; three years on the Queen Margaret's School Board of Governors continuing the legacy of the school established in 1921; as well as membership in the Young President's Organization (YPO Gold), an association of more than 8,000 global business leaders which he joined in 1996. Neil is one of the founding partners of Edgar Properties, a Western Canadian commercial real estate development company which began operating in 2007. Currently, Neil serves on the advisory board of a privately held company that owns three hotels, in Calgary and in Saskatoon. Neil is married to Rose and has one daughter, Sierra. Neil's passion for the outdoors continues; he likes to hike, cycle, golf, travel and, of course, skiing.

DALE HODGSON

Dale is a successful entrepreneur who has developed practical hands-on experience in building successful businesses. He has owned and/or been involved in businesses related to technology, manufacturing, mining, oil field service, financial services, hospitality, resort management and real estate development Currently, Dale is the CEO of Thrive Projects Inc., a real estate development company with two current Okanagan development projects related to resort style living. Dale's current board activity is as a Director of Accolade Capital where he sits on the Investment Committee for their small cap investment LP fund and Director of Corpath Business Forums, a Christian business ministry he cofounded in 2001. Past experience includes CEO/Owner of Bellstar Hotels and Resorts, CEO/major shareholder of Kokanee Springs Golf Resort, President/Owner of Sundog Printing Ltd, Director/Shareholder of Diamond Sage Energy Services Ltd., Director/Shareholder of Grande Cache Coal Company Inc., President/Owner of Micro Imaging Inc. and Director/shareholder of Worldplay Communications (an internet broadcasting solutions company). Business associations included Member/Director of the Young President's Organization and Member/International Director of the World President's Organization. Dale and his wife Merleen live in Calgary. They have two boys, Mark and Steve, who are both married and have blessed them with 5 wonderful grandchildren.

DON DOUGLAS, CHAIR

Mr. Douglas is an entrepreneur and investor with a rich background in real estate development. He served as President of United Communities Inc. and its predecessor companies from 1984 until February 2014. Throughout his business career, he has actively served as a director on numerous private and public boards, a commitment he maintains to this day. As a founder and active part owner of United Active Living, a private company dedicated to senior care, Mr. Douglas demonstrates his commitment to making a positive impact in the community. His leadership extends beyond business, as evidenced by his role as the Past Chairman of the Epcor Centre for the Performing Arts and Past Chairman of the Delta Waterfowl Foundation. Educationally, Mr. Douglas holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the IMEDE Management Development Institute in Lausanne, Switzerland, and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta. Beyond his impressive academic achievements, he is a licensed commercial pilot, showcasing his diverse skill set. In his leisure time, Mr. Douglas is an avid hunter and fisherman, further reflecting his passion for the outdoors
