DON DOUGLAS, CHAIR

Mr. Douglas is an entrepreneur and investor with a rich background in real estate development. He served as President of United Communities Inc. and its predecessor companies from 1984 until February 2014. Throughout his business career, he has actively served as a director on numerous private and public boards, a commitment he maintains to this day. As a founder and active part owner of United Active Living, a private company dedicated to senior care, Mr. Douglas demonstrates his commitment to making a positive impact in the community. His leadership extends beyond business, as evidenced by his role as the Past Chairman of the Epcor Centre for the Performing Arts and Past Chairman of the Delta Waterfowl Foundation. Educationally, Mr. Douglas holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the IMEDE Management Development Institute in Lausanne, Switzerland, and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta. Beyond his impressive academic achievements, he is a licensed commercial pilot, showcasing his diverse skill set. In his leisure time, Mr. Douglas is an avid hunter and fisherman, further reflecting his passion for the outdoors
